First Trimester Update
For the first 20+ weeks, Sheila suffered from HG (Hyperemesis Gravadarum) a potentially life-threatening condition, which causes severe nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and weight loss. She became frail and unable to do much activity. We both had to relearn how to cook food and how to eat since eating and staying hydrated became such a challenge for her.
There were a couple of other common abnormalities that also were concerning, SCH (bleeding), and low-lying placenta (placenta previa). The first trimester is a challenging time for a lot of pregnant women. We kept praying to see these problems go away.
Our 12-week scan gave us much hope as we saw our baby doing some kicks.
Wow he’s a lively one!
